Cooking Demo – Maple Glazed Turnips

We’ll make an African Heritage recipe of maple-glazed turnips.

Please prepare to cook with us. You will need:
- 1 cup water
- 1 large turnip or 2 smaller turnips, peeled and cubed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
We’ll discuss the nutrition benefits of turnips and give you tips to prepare this nutritious veggie at home. Weather permitting, we’ll have a live turnip harvest from the winter garden.
